• As a dance-theatre performer, she has stage command, strong presence and charisma. She has worked in big stages, in off-broadway theatre as well as in small stages, restaurants, cafes, artists lofts and has even done performances in personal homes. Maria has a unique talent for engaging people and making them feel home so that they participate. She combines humor with powerful communication tools to address an audience.
  

• As a shaman or Woman of Power, she has the ability to take people into deep journeys through the inscapes of their psyche, to work with consciousness, attention and energy to shift perception and uplift energy and to generate customized,impromptu ceremonies or rites to address what is going on in the audience.

• As an author and storyteller, Maria uses the power of story as a path of transformation; to empower individual agency, creativity, leadership, manifestation and personal liberation. She knows how to weave and tell a yarn!
  

• As a Transformation Artist with more than 40 years using the arts for personal transformation, personal growth and spiritual evolution Maria has worked in colleges, community clinics, community centers, safe houses for homeless and abused women, with non-profit organizations and even in the country, under the sky or in poor neighborhoods, right in the street. You name it, she’s been there. She can address delicate situations, quicken understanding, deepen transformation and has an arsenal of transformative and facilitating tools at her disposal.

You are not going to get theory here. Yes, there are clear explanations and a well-organized body of knowledge, but Maria goes beyond that. Everything she shares comes from her life experience. She lives in a 24/7 laboratory of conscious living, transformative awareness and exploration of her own issues, as well as observation and reflection of what is going on in the world, especially with women. When she finds a new understanding, tool or solution it comes from her personal usage. She then explores it in laboratory with students and clients. She keeps what works, releases what does not work or it’s too hard and develops it into systems, paths or experiential programs.

• This presentation series offers practical lessons from the Sacred Feminine School of Shamanic Wisdom to help people go from “here” (where they are) to “there” (where they want to be).

  By now everybody knows about the Law of Attraction! It went from discovery to trend and slowly receded into the consciousness. But it did something wonderful. It allowed individuals to assume their agency as co-creators and influencers of life.

  Maria employs shamanic tools of transformation to lead the audience through a fun and effective experiential exploration on how to develop their agency and creativity to master the Laws of Creation, Manifestation, Alignment and Resonance in order to achieve their dreams, purpose and goals in their life.

  The emphasis here is in applying the shaman’s awareness that perception creates the world to translate your intent into reality and in the Sacred Feminine way of perceiving, learning and changing.

  This is an introductory level to the shift needed in our consciousness from Newtonian cause-and-effect thinking to Quantum Thinking. This shift has occurred in the scientific community, but we need to bring it into our “life curriculum” and popular thinking if it is going to serve our people and truly change humanity and the planet.

It’s Time to Come ALL the Way

Maria has been working with women for more than 45 years.Throughout her career as a Scout for Goddess Leadership, she has created performances, poems and stories capturing the state of women’s empowerment and leadership.

In the last 16 years she has observed that even though women gained great victories for their empowerment and freedom, there are several areas were they are struggling, resisting and even rejecting their advancement.

She has been on a mission for the past 10 years investigating what is holding women and women’s leadership back.

This performance series is the laboratory where Maria now wants to share her findings and help women explore their own answers to these key questions:

1. Why have women become allergic to the word “leadership”?
2. Why is there still in the 21st century not equal pay or representation?
3. Why are women not in the big stages even in fields where women are traditionally a majority?
4. Why do so many women who are doing great contribution to humanity do not really FEEL successful and have trouble establishing their value?
5. The traditional joke is that men don’t ask for help when traveling, but Maria has found that in matters of success, fulfillment and professional advancement it is women who deny themselves help, guidance and support and try to do it all alone, in spite the ability women have to collaborate. What is going on?
6. What are the Inner Wars that make a woman her worse enemy and how do we liberate the territory of our Personal Power?

Part 1: You’ve Come a Long Way, Sister! It’s Time to Come ALL the Way

Maria takes the audience through a journey back on time to recognize the victories of women through Herstory. Then she lands on the present, where she connects this Herstory to current issues that steal women’s leadership, success and fulfillment.

She then takes the audience in a laboratory to explore the definition of power from the Sacred Feminine and to consider how this experience of power changes the pyramidal patriarchal structure of power into a womb or circle of power and what that means for them as influencers financially, politically, emotionally, creatively and personally.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires enough space for the group to move around and interact, visual projector and enough time for setting up the interactive environment before presentation. Table if Maria is allowed to sell at the back.

Part 2: The Dream Chrysalis: Emerge into your potential Now!

The logical mind, the left-brain hemisphere and the Male Way are about single-focus concentration to get something done.

The more women try this, the more frustrated they become.First, it’s not possible for a woman who is a mother, wife, daughter, service-provider and friend to block everything else out. She does not have the wife to take care of everything else! LOL!

But beyond this, the Female Way of Knowing belongs to the creative mind, the intuitive heart and the holistic, integrative way of perceiving. This experience of the world requires a different way of focusing. Maria has discovered that the chrysalis that allows the caterpillar to become butterfly is the perfect model for a woman’s way of gathering her intent, creating strategy, focusing her attention and manifesting her transformation.

Through a dance-poetry performance Maria takes the women into a deep journey of experiencing the power of creating a Dream Chrysalis as the transition from a struggling, hiding “Caterpillar Self” to a free, brilliant, in ecstatic service “Butterfly Self.”

The performance leads to a Sacred Teaching and Ceremony that walks women through the 10 Alchemical Actions that create the Dream Chrysalis.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires enough space for one person dancing, visual projector, enough time for setting up the interactive environment before presentation and enough space to engage in the ceremony with the group. Table if Maria is allowed to sell at the back.

Part 3: Good Girl, Bad Girl, Free Woman

Part of Maria Mar’s finding has been that many women struggle between duty and delight, obedience and freedom, self and others. This war consumes their energy and divides their attention. No matter what they choose, they lose. They always feel at fault, incomplete, guilty or as if they left something on the table.

Using her her trademark Theatre of Transformation methodology, Maria began to explore what this war meant, going all the way to childhood. This performance shares her findings in a humorous and poignant participatory spoken word performance that includes visual presentation, spoken word, drumming and singing. 

She explores the Obedient Daughter’s experience. Then she explores the Disobedient Daughter’s experience and then gradually the masks come off, the other-centered definitions are dropped, the Inner Child is held in healing and Butterfly Woman emerges in her full potency and colors.

This is followed by a laboratory to explore the Butterfly Self that closes in a ceremonial Butterfly Woman Dance.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires enough space for group and small group break out, visual projector, enough time for setting up the interactive environment before presentation and enough space to engage in the ceremony with the group. Large spaces require one invisible microphone and one regular microphone. Table if Maria is allowed to sell at the back.
